STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT OF A MICROBOARD

• You, or your family or friends, hear about the Microboard idea, and it sounds interesting
• You and your family and/or friends discuss Microboards, and feel this could work for you, but want more information
• Your group decides to proceed with a Microboard
• You have decided on your Microboard membership, and begin to develop a Person Centred Plan (PCP)
• Your Microboard has developed a formal PCP, and begins to prepare funding applications (if necessary) based on your PCP. Not all Microboards will need or want to apply for funding
• Microboard may need to incorporate (form a Limited Company) if:
  - it plans to employ staff
  - applying for funding
• Microboard applies for funding for elements of their PCP from one or more funders
• Microboard secures funding to implement part or all of the Person Centred Plan
• Microboard implements the Person Centred Plan and maintains appropriate records, policies & procedures
